Healing Hotspots
Welcome to another edition of The Speed of Light! In this issue I will cover ways healers will be contributing to keeping your raid alive. Each healer specific cooldown, new and old, will be outlined and briefly discussed. This will give players an idea of the toolkit that each healer will have in the upcoming T14 raids.
Druid
Ironbark  Reduces an allies damage by 20% for 12 seconds. A useful tank Cooldown. Incarnation: Tree of Life  Throughput CD. Exclusive with Force of Nature. | Tranquility  Very High AOE healing output to the entire raid. Use strategically after major raid wide damage. Force of Nature  Throughput CD. |
Monk
Life Cocoon  Increases healing taken by Hots by 50%. Very beneficial on the main tank. | Zen Meditation  Great CD, mentioned last time. Monks lack a lot of Raid CDs but have higher than average normal throughput. |
Paladin
Devotion Aura  Defensive CD that reduces magic damage by 20% use on big magic AOE abilities. Divine Favor  Throughput CD. Light's Hammer  Heavy AOE heal, 1 min CD. Exclusive with Execution Sentence. Holy Avenger  Can be used for Burst AOE or single target heals. It procs off of using Divine Light on the beacon target, | Avenging Wrath  Throughput CD. Guardian of Ancient Kings  Doubles 5 Big Single Target Direct Heals. Useful for Big Tank Healing Phases. Also increases haste. Execution Sentence  Heavy Single Target Heal, 1 min CD. Exclusive with Light's Hammer. |
Discipline Priest
Power Word: Barrier  Proactive CD that reduces damage by 25%. Use on a stacked raid group before a major incoming damage. Spirit Shell  Turns direct heals into shields Very useful for proactive healing on the entire raid through Prayer of Healing. Use about 8-10 seconds before a major AOE damage. | Pain Suppression  Single target damage reduction, great for tanks. Archangel  Minor throughput CD for disc only. Hymn of Hope  Raid wide mana CD, have healers use percentage based personal mana cooldowns while this is active if possible. |
Holy Priest
Lightwell  Raiders should know by now to click the lightwell, useful to drop sometime before major damage and players can click to recover. Divine Hymn  Heavy AOE heal useful after a major raid wide AOE hit. | Guardian Spirit  Useful to save a player from near certain death or as a tank CD for a quick recovery. Hymn of Hope  Raid wide mana CD, have healers use percentage based personal mana cooldowns while this is active if possible. |
Shaman
Spirit Link Totem  Splits damage by redistributing health. Very good raid CD for big raid damage while raid is stacked. Healing Tide Totem  Elemental Mastery  Talent that can be chosen as a throughput CD. | Mana Tide Totem  Restores a significant amount of mana to healers. Very useful raid CD. Ascendance  Allows heals to splash to nearby allies. potent for AOE healing. Unleash Elements  Worth mentioning, using this with Earthliving Weapon causes Healing Rain to do 30% more healing. This is very powerful AOE healing on a stacked raid group. |
